The Rockwall County Library is on Facebook and Instagram!
| |
The Book-a-Librarian service is an opportunity for patrons with Rockwall County Library cards (in good standing) to receive individual, focused assistance from a professional librarian in a scheduled 30-minute appointment. Assistance with computer skills, reading suggestions, downloading e-books and e-audiobooks, and resume building are just a few examples of how we can help. Please fill out the form completely, and a librarian will contact you to schedule an appointment. Appointments are limited to two sessions per month per person.
Note: We are unable to offer advice (e.g, medical, legal, tax or business) beyond sources of information. We cannot assist with financial transactions, type or proofread your documents, troubleshoot or assist with maintenance of personal electronics (e.g, computers, eReaders, tablets). This is not a tutoring service.

As we approach the April 8 solar eclipse, the Rockwall County Library is hosting some fun eclipse-themed activities!
FOR ECLIPSE GLASSES:
The library will have eclipse glasses available.
Due to our limited resources, we do recommend you have a plan to purchase additional glasses if you want more than one pair to share.
To get your glasses you need to have a Rockwall County Library card and there is a limit of one pair per adult library card holder.
Glasses will be available starting April 2 for those with library cards (as long as supplies last)
** If you are purchasing your own glasses look for the “iso 12312-2” rating to safely view the eclipse.
If you need a place to watch the eclipse please join us at the County walking track at the I-30 side of the library parking lot on April 8. The partial eclipse begins at 12:24pm, totality is from 1:41-1:45pm, and the partial eclipse ends at 3:03pm.
