Applications Still Open!

2024 Bonus Bucks applications are still open - get in your application before the Farmers Market season begins to take full advantage of seasonal local food!

The Bonus Bucks cost-sharing program allows income-eligible St. Lawrence County residents to stretch their food dollars, support their local farmers, and take advantage of the great local food we have right here in St. Lawrence County.

Purchase a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) Share, or shop at any of the following five St. Lawrence County farmers markets: Canton, Potsdam, Massena, Gouverneur, and Hammond!

This year's Bonus Bucks program was made possible by the generous support of the Arconic Foundation.

A Hearty Thank You to our Volunteers!

Are you interested in getting free professional photos of your farm or food business?

Cornell Cooperative Extension of St. Lawrence County is offering photo shoots to food and ag producers! Business's retain full access to the photos to promote and market their products online or in print materials, plus GardenShares can promote you better! CCE's galleries are a fantastic resource for gorgeous pictures of our food and ag community!

Perhaps CCE has taken photos of you at market, but never been to your farm? Extension wants to create more high-quality photos of farmers, food businesses and ag products to promote our region's delicious bounty and increase consumer awareness of the food landscape. The Local Food team will work with a professional photographer to ensure your images are tasteful and eye-catching. Businesses will be scheduled on a first-come first-served basis. We've photographed over 85 area businesses!

How to participate:

Contact Flip, CCE Local Food Program Leader, at 315-379-9192, ext. 229 or mpf65@cornell.edu to let her know you are interested in scheduling photos of your farm or food business.

After submission, CCE will contact you to confirm a date, discuss details, and answer any questions. You can make specific requests about the types of images you need and CCE will plan out a shot list.

A CCE staff member and the photographer will come to your location for up to 90 minutes to take pictures.

Your images will be ready within 2 weeks of the shoot! CCE will email you the link to your gallery and you can request a USB that will be mailed to you. Both will contain 2 copies of each image - one with high resolution images for print use and the other with low resolution images for online use.
