Join us at the YMCA Camp Letts in Edgewater for the annual Mutt March on Saturday, April 12th. We'll be there from 10 am to 2 pm for all the dog fun! The Brick Companies has named us as a beneficiary, which is a HUGE help to us. Please come to support the seniors of SDS!

Join us at Heroes Pub in Annapolis on Monday, May 19th to benefit our dogs. Mention SDS and 15% of the sale will go to us! Orders can be placed between 11 am and 9 pm, so let's eat and drink to save our seniors!

Smokin' on the Creek in Deale is coming on May 31st from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Save the date for this amazing event that benefits the sanctuary. Delicious BBQ and a chance to help senior dogs sounds perfect! This event was truly special to our founder, Val, and we are honored to continue to be a massive part of it.

Meet 16-year-old Molly and 15-year-old Lucy, who were brought to us when their owner had to move out of state. A foster is desperately needed while we await an adopter for these sweet pups. They are considered hospice because Lucy has cancer, although you would never know it as she still has pep in her step! She's on medication to see if that can help lower her levels. Molly is on eye medication and will be having x-rays and a dental on 4/3. They enjoy slow walks and napping and are mostly housetrained but know to go on pee pads. They cannot do stairs well and are okay with other dogs. If you or anyone you know is interested, please let us know.
