April is Earth Month!

One of our favorite month's of the year is here! We believe Earth Day is Every Day, but April is a great time to reflect on our relationship with the environment and to take action to protect it.

Here are some great ways to take part in Earth Month:

  • Get Involved:

-Participate in local Earth Day events, volunteer for environmental organizations, or organize your own events.

  • Take Action:

-Make small changes in your daily life to reduce your environmental impact, such as conserving water and energy, recycling, and reducing waste.

  • Advocate for Change:

-Contact your elected officials and urge them to take action on environmental issues.

  • Support Sustainable Businesses:

-Choose products and services from companies that are committed to sustainability.

  • Spend Time Outdoors:

-Enjoy nature by going for hikes, camping, or simply spending time in a park.

  • Clean Up Your Community:

-Organize a local cleanup event or participate in a community cleanup.

  • Reduce Your Footprint:

-Make conscious choices to reduce your emissions, such as using public transportation, biking, walking, and separating food scraps into your green cart.

Tire Amnesty Returns

It's true, your tires can be recycled! And for a limited time, residents are invited to bring us their unwanted tires for FREE recycling!

Old tires that are found illegally dumped on roadsides harbor standing water, to providing a breeding ground for mosquitoes, transmitters of the West Nile Virus (WNV) and other serious diseases. But it doesn't have to be this way!

Old tires brought to us will be recycled into pavement for roads, playgrounds and schoolyards. Other uses for recycled tires include alternative fuel for manufacturing industries, creating soles for shoes and work boots, sidewalks, and more.

Take advantage of this special grant-funded recycling program, and learn more by visiting our website below:
