Dear Beloved Members, Pastors, and Supporters,
In May 2023 the World Health Organization (WHO) declared the COVID-19 pandemic officially over. However many pastors and church leaders have struggled to successfully pivot past the pandemic. Instead they have just been hoping that things would just get back to the way they were. While some things may have returned to pre-pandemic levels, many churches have not been able to bounce back.
If that is you, know that you are not alone. The challenges of the past few years have left many churches struggling; attendance and giving is down; volunteer engagement has declined, and ministry has changed. In spite of all of that, know this: God is still working. He is still moving, and He is still calling His Church to be a light in the world.
Throughout history, God has used difficult seasons to refine, strengthen, and prepare His people for greater impact. This moment is no different. While the landscape of ministry may look different than before, the mission remains the same. People still need the hope of the Gospel, communities still need the love of Christ, and your leadership still matters.
So, what can we do? First, we can seek God’s guidance with renewed faith. Pray for wisdom, clarity, and perseverance. Second, we can embrace new opportunities to reach people where they are, whether through social media, community outreach, or fresh discipleship strategies. Lastly, we can support one another. You are not alone. The CCBA is a network of fellow pastors, leaders, and churches ready to walk this journey with you.
We can trust that God is at work, even when the road feels uncertain. He has not abandoned His Church, and He will continue to build it in ways we may not yet see. Keep pressing forward in faith!
Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord. 1 Corinthians 15:58
Please know that we are here.
Here to Serve You!
