Happy April! Spring is in the air so hopefully we can all get outside and enjoy some spring weather. Time to get out and enjoy the many parks and forest preserves that the Lisle area has to offer.
We are in the process of planning our 2025 Golf Outing at Seven Bridges Golf Club in Woodridge on May 13th. Our next planning meeting for the Golf Outing is on April15th at 3:30 p.m. We will be meeting at Belle Notte, 5900 Rte. 53, Lisle. Feel free to join us with some ideas. Keep your eyes on the Lisle Area Chamber events calendar for all of the upcoming events.

Paula Gleason

Paula is Marketing Manager for the CPA firm of JCMP & Associates. She is a twenty-two year member of the Lisle Area Chamber of Commerce, past Treasurer and past Chairman of their Board of Directors, Ambassador Committee Chair, Dinner Dance Committee Chair and serves on the Golf, Government Affairs, LINCT, Lisle Uncorked and Turkey Trot Committees. Paula also serves on the West Suburban Community Pantry Advisory Board, is a retired Pantry Volunteer and Chaired the annual Chefs’ Culinary Challenge/Silent Auction Fundraiser for eight years.
As a 34-year resident of Green Trails, Paula has served as the Recording Secretary for the Green Trails Improvement Association Board of Directors for 24 years and contributes monthly articles to their newsletter. Paula is a 18-year Bensidoun USA Supervisor of the summer outdoor French Market in Lisle; is a DuPage County Judge of Election and a retired volunteer at the College of DuPage McAninch Arts Center.
Other activities include a busy lifestyle with her daughter, son-in-law and three active teen-age grandchildren in Lisle, visiting with her son in Los Angeles, collecting unusual menus, wearing hats and enjoying the arts. Her favorite bit of wisdom is: “Ability may get you to the top, but it takes character to keep you there”. Paula is determined to be a goodwill representative of the Chamber and is visible at most Chamber functions – she’s the one wearing a hat!

The Lisle Area Chamber of Commerce awards scholarships to high school students graduating in 2025.
Awards are based on several considerations that include academic achievement, community involvement, and need.
Application deadline is April 11, 2025 by 4:00 p.m.
Application Requirements:

Applicants must either have an immediate family member who is a member of the Lisle Area Chamber of Commerce (individually or through corporate affiliation), or they must have a Lisle mailing address.
- Applicants must plan to attend a technical or trade school, business college, or a two- or four-year college or university.
- The application packet must be fully and legibly completed.

The application must be received at the Lisle Area Chamber of Commerce via email submission (info@lislechamber.com or jill@lislechamber.com); delivered in-person to the Lisle Area Chamber office or by U.S. Mail postmarked (925 Burlington Avenue, Lisle IL 60532) by 4:00 p.m. on April 11, 2025. The Lisle Area Chamber of Commerce assumes no responsibility for application packets that are not correctly submitted.

Here we are already at Spring Break. We are preparing for the golf outing, which is May 13, 2025 this year at fellow member, Seven Bridges Golf Club.
