NCFRW – Thankful for Spring and Liberty's blessings!

April 2025

From the desk of Kay Wildt, NCFRW President

Not even 100 days from his inauguration, and President Trump has accomplished and set in motion more actions than we could have dreamt. While President Trump is amazing, his secret weapon is the extraordinary team he's called on to put his commonsense ideas into action.

Elon Musk is a true wonder, and with his DOGE team, he is tearing through data and driving the Left crazy. Another extraordinary team member shocking the media is Cabinet member, and President Trump's close friend, Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick.

There is a very interesting interview with Secretary Lutnick on All-In in DC's YouTube podcast HERE. In the pre-Liberation Day interview, Secretary Lutnick offers his perspective on President Trump's fiscal policies and reciprocal tariffs.

On 9/11/2001, Howard Lutnick headed the NYC office of Cantor Fitzgerald, located in the World Trade Center. You may already know his story of dealing that morning with the deaths of 658 employees, friends, and his own brother, and the aftermath. It is very moving and reveals his character. And it makes me thankful that President Trump chose a person like Secretary Lutnick to protect and improve the lives of every American.

SCAM ALERT - We will NEVER ask anyone to send us gift cards.

Reflection

Nehemiah 4:1-23 Watchers and workers on the wall. The deliverance of God.

“Lord, you said that the weapon of our warfare is not flesh and blood but divine authority to break strongholds, arguments, and pretensions. Enable us God, to walk rightly, to do justly, and walk humbly with you as you are the victor for us and our nation. We lift up all our leaders from county to the Capitol that they may do rightly through wisdom and understand. Give them the vigor to proceed forward and not retreat.” Amen!

At this time of Israel’s history the people were judged, intimidated, slandered, and threatened. Does the past four years sound familiar? But God is our deliverer!

Road to the Convention

Every two years, NFRW women from across the nation elect a new leadership team, and this year we will hold that election during our Biennial Convention in Orlando at Rosen's Shingle Creek.

What can one expect at the biennial convention - great speakers, training sessions, presentation of Club Achievement Awards, National awards for Literacy, Caring for America, Armed Services and other special awards.

At the Spring NFRW meeting, the Board voted to offer an Early-Bird Registration fee of only $300, available for a two-week period. Keep watching NFRW emails and plan to take advantage of that Early-Bird offer when it is announced in summer.

TIP: Some clubs, like Crystal Coast RW, fundraise to help offset the cost of attending conventions, and that earns points for the Achievement Award.

Above all else, it is wonderful to be with other like-minded women who love God and Country and are committed to protecting our nation. And we have fun!

Welcome New Clubs

NCFRW sends our congratulations to three new clubs across the state. These club fill a need in their areas and make a difference bringing Republican values to their communities.

These ladies are off to a terrific start and are already putting into action plans they have for their areas.

We welcome our three newest clubs:

  • Republican Women of Nash County, President Karen Fairley.
  • Republican Women of Carteret County , President Barbara Quinn.
  • Republican Women of Greater Cabarrus County, President Barbara Strang.

RW of Nash Co

President Karen Fairley and the ladies of the RW of Nash Co invited NCFRW President Kay Wildt to speak at their April dinner meeting.

The club members are very enthused about growing and serving their community. Kay installed their officers, gave a history of the NFRW and the NCFRW and spoke about the coming May NCFRW Convention in Charlotte and the September NFRW Convention in Orlando.

RW of Greater Cabarrus Co

President Barbara Strang sent this photo of their club's first formal meeting. Great to see such a large turnout and so much enthusiasm, even the little dog looks eager.

These ladies will do great work in their community. Congratulations!

Crystal Coast Gala

Crystal Coast RW and its members held a fantastic 16th Annual Reagan Rally featuring our new RNC Co-Chair, K.C. Crosbie. Everyone loved hearing KC's story of going from volunteer to becoming RNC Co-Chair. Crystal Coast President Michele Nix welcomed guests, and NCFRW President Kay Wildt gave the invocation.

Among the many dignitaries there were North Carolina National Committeeman Ed Broyhill and NCGOP Chair Jason Simmons. Stephanie Broughton Coastal Region VP, and her husband Matt, did an excellent job on the Silent Auction. James Piedad, photographer extraordinaire, made memories at the reception.

Monies raised at the event are used to fund registration fees for the club members to attend NCFRW and NFRW conventions.
