April 2025

FROM THE DIRECTOR

A huge thank you to everyone who attended and supported this year’s Big Saints Bash! More details, including how much money was raised, is included below, but I wanted to extend my heartfelt gratitude on behalf of all of us at All Saints School. The support and love of our amazing families makes All Saints such a remarkable place to be!

I hope you all had a wonderful Spring Break! We are happy to be back and ready to jump into springtime learning and fun.

On March 5th, Ash Wednesday began the 40-day period called Lent that takes us to Easter Sunday. The purpose of Lent is to make way in our hearts and our lives for the great events of Holy Week and Easter Sunday. The Easter story – Jesus’ passion, death, and resurrection – is the story on which our faith rests. As an Episcopal school, we want to share these traditions and teachings with our Little Saints. Young children can understand Easter themes such as “coming to life” (blooming plants, butterfly life cycles, baby animals, etc.) and most importantly…how much God loves all of us and wants us to love each other!

Below you will find details about exciting and impactful things in the works here at All Saints School, including the annual Art Fest à la Mode on April 3rd. Please note that school will be closed on Monday, April 28th and Tuesday, April 29th for Parent Teacher Conferences. A SignUpGenius will be coming your way soon. The teachers are looking forward to this time with you!

With Love,

Emory Messeroff

DISTRACTED ADULT BROCHURE

It is a DCF requirement that twice a year, in September and April, we provide parents/guardians with the Distracted Adult Brochure. Please take some time to read and review the information here.

BABY BLESSING

Calling all Baby Saints! Our final Chapel of the school year will also include a Baby Blessing. Any school family with a baby is welcome to join us on Wednesday, May 7th at 9:15 a.m. for a sweet blessing over your little one by Rev. Lo along with a special gift from All Saints School.

If you would like to participate, please e-mail Emory by Friday, April 25th.

BABY SAINTS

Congratulations to the Loulan Family, especially big brother Jack in Threes, who welcomed baby Lucy on March 26th!

FROM THE PTO

The PTO is excited to announce that we raised just over $39,000 from the Big Saints Bash in March. I am grateful to everyone who played a part, big or small, in making this possible.

A very special thank you to our Bash committee who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make everything possible; Maura Gillon, Sonia Tankersley, Caroline Swanson, Emily Bearden, and Maggie Rhine.

Without our on-site set-up volunteers Bash would not be possible. This wonderful group of people lifted and carried, glued and hammered, among many other tasks, to make everything come together. I am so grateful for the support of Maura Gillon, Mike Gillon, Sonia Tankersley, John Tankersley, Maggie Rhine, Justin Rhine, Caroline Swanson, Ana Gonzalez, Emily Bearden, Emily Hillman, Heather Allen, Eliana Grady, Sondra Wells, Julianna Eldemire, and Erin Bradstreet.

A big thanks to the silent auction basket lead volunteers from each class. We are so appreciative of every teacher who donated their time to make Gifts from the Heart possible. Thank you to all the sponsors for their generous donations as these sponsorship funds directly help to offset expenses. And thank you to everyone who supported Bash by bidding on silent auction items.

The PTO is responsible for hosting 13 events throughout the school year including Popsicles in the Park, Parents Night Out, Trunk or Treat, Thanksgiving Feast, Nativity Pageant, Trike-A-Thon, Literacy Week, Big Saints Bash, Art Festival, Muffins in the Morning, and a few Moms Night Out evenings. The money raised from Bash helps to fund these events as well as school security, classroom enrichments, teacher continuing education and bonuses.

Thank you to everyone for making this year’s Bash a great success!

Alice Maguire, PTO President
