Moving More and Getting Outdoors
Alongside events such as Earth Day, Easter, and Passover, April is also Move More Together Month! Created by the American Heart Association, Move More Month encourages people to incorporate more movement into our daily lives. See more resources below:
National Walking Day: Taking place on Wednesday, April 3, this is a great reminder to prioritize your activity and set aside some time in your day to get your steps in!
Hiking: Take advantage of the vast collection of scenic trails around the Bay Area! Whether you’re new to hiking or an experienced adventurer, there’s a trail for everyone. From coastal paths to mountain hikes, getting outdoors has never been more rewarding.
Biking: Whether you’re cruising along a local bike path or exploring new terrain, biking is a fantastic way to stay active while enjoying the great outdoors. The Bay Area offers a variety of scenic routes for riders of all levels, so grab your helmet and hit the road!
Gardening: Get your hands in the dirt! Gardening is a fun way to move, strengthen muscles, and enjoy the outdoors. Interested? Try getting involved with our Staff Garden!
Parks and Recreation: The Bay Area offers parks perfect for a walk, frisbee game, or just relaxing in nature.
As we celebrate Earth Month and Move More Together Month this April, let's take advantage of the natural beauty around us and get outside to boost our health, enjoy the fresh air, and move more together!
