WHY DID YOU WANT TO GET INVOLVED WITH UNITED WAY?
I was approached by a former board member—who is also a colleague—about taking his place on the board because he knew how important giving back to others and supporting our community is to me. Through my role at work, I had previously volunteered at several United Way events, which gave me firsthand experience with the organization’s impact. Those experiences made me eager to become more involved. I was truly grateful for the opportunity to serve in a greater capacity and contribute more meaningfully to the community.
WHAT DOES “LIVE UNITED” MEAN TO YOU?
To me, “Live United” means thinking beyond ourselves and recognizing that the more we give, the fuller our lives become. It’s about caring for our community, supporting those who are struggling, and working together with others who share the same mission to make a positive difference.
United is the Way,
Corie Moore, Treasurer
