BRINGING HISTORY TO LIFE

We’re so grateful for our partnership with Providence Christian School and the ways it brings our students together each year. This April, our 3rd graders met their pen pals in person during Texas Day after spending the year writing back and forth about what they’re learning. They explored what life was like from the late 1800s to early 1900s through hands-on activities, all while building friendships and sharing the day side by side.

Our 4th graders also joined Providence students for Patriot's Day, a fun and engaging living history experience. From WDCS students presenting on influential figures in a wax museum to exploring rooms spanning the Civil War, WWII, and American inventors, it was a day of bringing history to life. We wrapped it all up with field games together—ending the day with fun and fellowship. Thank you to Providence for hosting us for this special day of learning.

ARYEN, CLASS OF 2026

Aryen, current 8th grader at WDCS, is incredibly bright, curious, and joyful. Aryen loves being challenged academically, and aspires to study mathematics in college one day. Since starting at WDCS in pre-K, he has grown significantly socially and emotionally, especially in middle school.

When Aryen and his sister Camryn were young, their parents faced a big question: where could they find a school that offered both a high-quality education and a strong foundation for their children’s future? The cost of private education in Dallas felt daunting—but when they heard about WDCS, they applied immediately.

Aryen's mother reflects, "Aryen and his sister Camryn’s journey at WDCS began as an answer to many prayers for a safe, loving, faith-based and academically strong environment. Aryen faced neurological difficulties with epilepsy throughout his time in primary school, and the West Dallas staff handled his differences with grace, love, support, and care. Not only did he survive the learning challenges, social difficulties, and medical implications, but he thrived as a student at West Dallas. We will forever be grateful to God for leading us to WDCS."

This year, Aryen was accepted to St. Mark's School of Texas, where he will be attending for his freshman year of high school in the fall. We are so proud of the young man Aryen is becoming, and we are excited to watch him continue to grow in the coming years.
