Louisiana Blue has posted the training the U.S. Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) requires for Blue Advantage providers in the Dual Eligible Special Needs Plans (D-SNP) program on the Blue Advantage Resources page (www.lablue.com/providers >Go to BA Resources). The training module is available under Webinars and Workshops. Please complete this training before Friday, May 15.

MCAHPS Survey for Your Patients

Your patients may receive the Medicare Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (MCAHPS) survey from the U.S. Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) or the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA).

Off-label Prescribing of GLP-1 Agents Approved for Diabetes

Louisiana Blue covers FDA-approved GLP-1 receptor agonists and GIP/GLP-1 receptor agonists only for the treatment of type-2 diabetes mellitus.

We develop and revise medical policies in response to changing medical technology. Benefit determinations are made based on the medical policy in effect at the time of the provision of services.
