Contact Person Notification Program
NH RSA 106-B: 36 and 36
In August 2025, the New Hampshire State Police launched a Contact Person Notification Program, available to all New Hampshire residents and law enforcement agencies. The program collects voluntary information from participants or their guardians (under RSA 464-A) to assist in communicating with persons with any type of documented disability. This can range from severe diabetes, PTSD, autism, alzheimers, bipolar disorder, or any other type of disability. The notification program would provide valuable information to help officers with the appropriate services or persons to assist the participant.
Anyone who would like more information about the program or how to apply can visit the NH State Police website at https://www.nhsp.dos.nh.gov/resources/documents-and-forms/contact-person-notification-program. This is a 100% voluntary program, and only participants or guardians can apply. The website describes the process and the information that needs to be entered into the system.
