River Cities Central Office Information

River Cities Intergroup is made up of AA groups from the Tri-State area (AZ, CA, and NV). The second Monday of each month is the Central Office Intergroup meeting.

Groups can purchase Newcomer Packets for $2 each and packets of 10 meeting schedules at $2 per packet.

Fourth Step Prayer

Dear God,

It is I who has made my life a mess.

I have done it, but I cannot undo it.

My mistakes are mine and I will begin a searching and fearless moral inventory.

I will write down my wrongs But I will also include that which is good.

I pray for the strength to complete the task.

SERVICE SPOTLIGHT

The Twelve Concepts and
Our Shared Service Work

The Twelve Concepts help explain how service in AA works — who makes decisions, how responsibility is shared, and how trusted servants support the Fellowship.

They remind us that AA belongs to the groups. Service bodies exist to help groups, not to direct them, and group conscience keeps everything connected and accountable.

Throughout 2026, we’ll look at one Concept each month to better understand how our service structure works and how every group plays a part.

Concept IV

“At all responsible levels, we ought to maintain a traditional ‘Right of Participation,’ allowing a voting representation in reasonable proportion to the responsibility that each must discharge.”

Concept IV reminds us that participation is essential to how AA functions.

Service is not carried by a few, but shared among many. Those who take on responsibility are given a voice in proportion to that responsibility.

Participation keeps service balanced. It allows different perspectives to be heard and helps ensure that decisions reflect the Fellowship as a whole.

When participation is present, service becomes more connected, more representative, and more effective — guided by shared responsibility and group conscience.

Steps, Traditions & Concepts of AA

Step 4: "Made a searching and fearless moral inventory of ourselves."

Tradition 4: "Each group should be autonomous except in matters affecting other groups or A.A. as a whole."

Concept 4: "At all responsible levels, we ought to maintain a traditional “Right of Participation,” allowing a voting representation in reasonable proportion to the responsibility that each must discharge."

Hey friends,

April feels a little lighter.

Things start moving again, but not in a rushed way...just steady.

We’ve spent the last few months looking at unity, leadership, and how decisions get made. This month shifts into what it actually looks like to be part of it.

Participation doesn’t have to be big.

-It’s showing up.

-It’s being willing.

-It’s doing your part, whatever that looks like.

That’s how this works. Not one person doing everything it is a lot of people doing something.

And somehow, it all holds together.
