Kiwanis Club of Lisle

The Kiwanis club of Lisle is a volunteer organization that has been active in the Lisle area since 1962. They were one of the founding organizations of the Eyes to the Skies Festival. Other activities they are known for are the annual Pancake Breakfast, providing Thanksgiving meals and a holiday party for families registered with the Lisle Food Pantry, and as the main organizing force behind the Downtown Lisle Car Shows. They also donate a scholarship to qualified graduating seniors of the Lisle High School.

They have recently re-started the club with 20+ new members and are looking for other ways to fullfil their mission to “Serve the Children of the World” in the Village of Lisle. They are also working with local School District 202 to sponsor Service Leadership Programs in the area schools so that students may gain leadership skills in a positive environment. 

Ambassador Michael Lo serves as the Club’s Secretary as the officer who handles all communications among the club members and with the broader community. He also performs record keeping duties when reporting to the larger international organization.

About twelve years ago, Michael was looking for a way to serve his community. In High School he was a member of the Key Club, the Kiwanis organization for High School students, so joining Kiwanis was a logical choice. Michael has lived in Lisle for twenty years and has enjoyed being a part of the Village community. Kiwanis Club of Lisle is always looking for people who share their vision of serving the younger generation and providing them with opportunities to gain leadership skills to join their Club. If you are interested, please email Michael at KiwanisClubofLisle@gmail.com.

The Lisle Area Chamber of Commerce awards scholarships to high school students graduating in 2026.



Awards are based on several considerations that include academic achievement, community involvement, and need. 

Application deadline is April 10, 2026 by 4:00 p.m.

Application Requirements:

•  Applicants must either have an immediate family member who is a member of the Lisle Area Chamber of Commerce (individually or through corporate affiliation), or they must have a Lisle mailing address.
• Applicants must plan to attend a technical or trade school, business college, or a two- or four-year college or university.
• The application packet must be fully and legibly completed.
•  The application must be received at the Lisle Area Chamber of Commerce via email submission (jill@lislechamber.com); delivered in-person to the Lisle Area Chamber office or by U.S. Mail postmarked (925 Burlington Avenue, Lisle IL 60532) by 4:00 p.m. on April 12, 2026. The Lisle Area Chamber of Commerce assumes no responsibility for application packets that are not correctly submitted.
