April 2026

OUR MISSION is to Serve and Equip our Churches to Fulfill the Great Commission

We have some exciting things happening in April that I want to make you aware of...

I hope your church is planning to participate in “Fill the Tank” April 12 or an upcoming Sunday. This is a great opportunity to invite your people to follow Jesus’ example in Believer’s Baptism.

Romans 6:3–6 reminds us:

“Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be in the likeness of His resurrection, knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin.”

I love how these verses clearly picture baptism. When we step into the water, it represents walking with Christ. Going under the water symbolizes our burial with Him. Rising out of the water reflects His resurrection and our new life in Him. And stepping out points to His ascension and the promise that we will live with Him for eternity.

Believer’s Baptism beautifully represents the Easter message! Let’s fill our tanks with faith, share the Gospel, and expect God to move.

Also, Wednesday, April 22 is Administrative Professionals Day, a time to recognize and celebrate those who faithfully serve behind the scenes. We invite pastors and church members to nominate an administrative professional who has made an impact in their lives and church. We will draw three winners to receive a $50 gift card to their favorite restaurant. Let’s take time to bless those who bless others!

On Saturday, April 25, Peninsula Baptist Church will host NC Baptist on Mission Disaster Relief Training. I encourage you to attend if you are willing to serve when disaster strikes. It’s always better to be proactive than reactive because when disaster hits, it’s often too late to prepare. I hope to see you there.

Let’s be on mission together!
