Ara “Corky” Frank Normart Jr. the artist behind the beloved stained-glass work in Valley Children's Hospital's Chapel, leaves a legacy defined by generosity, warmth and a deep commitment to his community.
More than an artist, Corky was a neighbor and friend who shared his talents to bring comfort and connection to others. For the families who walk through our hospital's doors during some of the hardest moments of their lives, his work in the Chapel offers something rare: a place of peace and quiet strength.
That same spirit of giving led to his selection to design the art piece outside the Adventist Health Medical Office in Fowler, a project made possible through the generosity of donors Ray and Mary Lou Steele. Their support helped bring his uplifting artistry to even more people across the region.
Wherever his work lives, so does his kindness. Corky's legacy endures not only in the beauty of what he created, but in the reminder, he leaves behind that one person's generosity can brighten an entire community.
