Leadership Coaching Project

Life is full of opportunities to assess and re-assess thoughts, goals, and relationships. An outside voice can be helpful to reviewing all of these. Call a coach to get an outside perspective and help grow as a person.

Coaching is a dialogue between a coach and an individual, group, or team to find creative ways to solve challenging problems or improve team performance on key initiatives.

The coach's role is to draw out expertise through inquiry, curiosity, and challenges so that clients can stretch into their best selves.

Lay leaders, deacons, priests, and bishops are all invited to consider coaching. The focus on coaching will always be generated by the coachee; the coach is a partner who listens deeply and asks powerful questions to help the coachee set attainable and timely goals.

Other Events of Interest

Young Adult / Campus Ministry Conference

Beyond the Summit is a campus and young adult ministry conference co-sponsored by LuMin and the Gather Network, taking place June 23-26, 2026 at the University of Denver. Together, we’ll explore what it means to encounter God beyond the mountaintop—in the ordinary, difficult, and overlooked places of young adulthood and campus ministry. Join keynote speaker Cole Arthur Riley as she invites us into practices of paying attention, honoring our embodied experiences of joy and grief, and discovering dignity in the work of descending well. Together, we will strive to find God not just in the highs, but in the diverse rhythms of daily life.

The Episcopal Church has negotiated a reduced rate for its YACM practitioners (lay or clergy) to be able to attend.

Contact Eric Richey with any questions.

The Jordan Project

The Jordan Project will ignite new life and innovation into women-led rural and small-town congregations. This project serves the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) and warmly welcomes priests from The Episcopal Church. Pastors and leaders from their congregations will explore their congregations’ rapidly changing social and cultural contexts, gain clarity about their values and mission, and draw on Christian theological practices and traditions to adapt their ministry to the demands of their changing contexts. Pastors serving multi-point settings can decide how this project is launched in one or more congregations served. With this knowledge and the skills to engage, pastors and their congregational leaders will be prepared to lead thriving congregations that experience a renewal of anticipatory joy, an ethos of “Why not? Let’s give it a try!” and personal, communal, and public witness to the love of God found in Jesus that will thrill the heart again.

Episcopal Chant Resource

Episcopal Chant, the database of liturgical chants founded in 2024 by Arlie Coles and Richard Pryor III, announced their expansion to host the works of the late Bruce Ford on behalf of the Association of Anglican Musicians. Before his death, Bruce had specifically requested that AAM work to host his out-of-print collection of Gradual Psalms for the Revised Common Lectionary online. The database already hosts pointed Epistles and Gospels for every Sunday and service in the Book of Common Prayer; and with this expansion, will cover The Book of Occasional Services as well, in addition to their collection of Eucharistic prayers, seasonal offerings, and a new service composer where users can easily download all the needed chants for a given Sunday of the liturgical year. Learn more at their website https://episcopalchant.com.

Book Corner

Budget vs. Financial Plan

Episcopal Church Foundation

Does your church have a financial plan, or just a budget?

A budget spans 12 months. A strategic financial plan provides the full picture: personnel costs, capital projects, revenue trends, assets, and upcoming risks. Many congregations want to adopt this broader perspective but may be uncertain where to start.

The ECF Endowment Management team created a free Strategic Financial Planning Template to help your church understand the full financial picture and see how endowment resources fit into your long-term financial plan.

If you want to get the Strategic Financial Planning Template or find out how the Foundation can support your endowment goals, please contact us at endowment@ecf.org
