Introductions to This Week's Lessons

Acts 2.42-47

Peter, speaking for the other apostles, has interpreted the coming of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost as a sign that the final age, the age of the Church, has begun. Many have turned to Christ and have been baptized.

1 Peter 2.19-25

Even though the readers, as Christians, are seen by their pagan neighbors as socially inferior, the author has urged them to live ethically, as “servants of God”. Now he tells Christian slaves, or servants, how they are to behave and who they are to emulate in their lives.

John 10.1-10

Some religious leaders have questioned Jesus’ healing of a blind man on the Sabbath as being against the Law. He has raised their ire by suggesting that their claim to understand the path to salvation is ill-founded. The way to eternal life is through Christ.

Red Wagon Ministry

For the month of April, we are collecting for Clothing Bank of Delaware by Friendship House. Supplies needed: New Socks and New Underwear for all ages and genders. The Children at Trinity Parish bring the Red Wagon with your generous donations to the Altar to be blessed during the Offertory Procession on Sundays!

Parish Picnic at the Blue Rocks!

Get ready for a joyful summer evening as we gather for a fun-filled night of baseball, fellowship, and food at the Blue Rocks! This isn’t just a game — it’s a celebration of who we are as the Episcopal Church in Delaware: one church, one family, together in the stands. Whether you’re a lifelong baseball fan or just here for the laughter, connection, and all-you-can-eat picnic, this is a night you won’t want to miss.

This is also the perfect opportunity to bring your church community together. Invite your parish—families, youth groups, choir members, neighbors, and friends — and let’s fill the stands with Episcopal spirit! with the diocesan choir at the Blue Rocks!

We’re assembling a diocesan-wide choir to sing the National Anthem at our Parish Picnic at the Blue Rocks on Saturday, June 27, 2026. The game begins at 6:05 p.m., and our choir will open the evening from the field — representing the full voice of the Episcopal Church in Delaware.

Everyone is welcome to join — whether you’re a seasoned chorister or simply

love to sing, we’d be glad to have you join us for this joyful diocesan moment.
