Community Update
Quail Creek Country Club POA

Dear Residents,
Our hearts go out to everyone who has been impacted by the virus across our nation. In the midst of this pandemic, we are reminded how quickly things can change and that we should take nothing for granted.

Based on recent comments made by federal and local governments, our nation and the state will “open for business” before long. What does this mean and how will it affect our community?

While we look to the state and the nation for orders or guidance, this is not where the analysis ends. Regardless of what orders or recommendations are made in the coming days/weeks, it is unlikely that we will start operating in a “business as usual” manner overnight. Instead, we are considering adopting certain precautions even after the federal and state governments loosen restrictions.

Robson Corporate, the Quail Creek Board of Directors and Management team have been planning on how to reopen Association facilities. Based on government recommendations , this process would phase in the use of amenities and other services. For instance, outdoor activities could possibly open first. When indoor amenities eventually open, our plan to commit to regular sanitizing will be based on product availability. Even though we have stocked up on sanitation products, we do not know how much will be used on a daily basis.

Social distancing is a phrase we never knew before and wish we never have to hear it again. Like it or not, social distancing is here, at least for the foreseeable future, and will play a key role in how we reopen our facilities.

While we wait for guidance from our government officials, we are planning on how we reopen our facilities. We will continue to communicate and keep you informed.

The Madera Clubhouse renovation continues. In Jeff Krueger’s latest photographs, you’ll see paint on the walls in the ballroom, the start of flooring in the library and more.

Common areas and maintenance of the facilities continue under the direction of Cindy Mayhle and her team. We are working with AAA Landscape as they continue to operate in zones. You may have noticed their trucks are filled from the cutbacks they have done. Most of the sidewalks are now clear of overhanging trees or bushes.

Cindy’s maintenance team has been working in the pool area, refinishing the deck. It looks great! I asked Jeff Krueger if would kindly include photos of the renovation at the pool.

Be on the lookout for daily specials from Chef Aris. He and his culinary staff continue to create new items for the menu. Last week I shared Saturday’s brisket special. Brisket was sold out in just a few hours. Chef has prepared more servings for this Saturday, so don’t miss out!

If you’re in need of groceries, use our Groceries to Go . Shop from the comforts of your home and pick up the next day, just blocks away at the Madera Clubhouse. Easy, available and convenient for your household needs.

Green Valley Fire Chef, Chuck Wunder, wrote a letter to Quail Creek residents and wanted to share the Fire Department’s general handling of COVID-19 related calls. Overall, they want the community to know that they remain committed to providing services to you. During these times, we hope that our First Responders remain safe from harm. We’re very appreciative of all that they do for our community.

Our community is not only giving, it’s also a community who care deeply about each other and our staff. A resident team took it upon themselves to create a GoFundMe account to raise money for the staff whose hours have been reduced. Quail Creek Employee Assistance was created by homeowner Andrew Rodriguez and other homeowners. The resident team created the site on April 3rd with the goal to raise $50,000. As of today, the goal is just shy by $345. We are very proud of the resident team and all of you who donated. Again proving that Quail Creek is a great place to live. We thank you!

Your Board of Directors and management staff want to assure the community that we will be open, informative, and absolutely transparent about the Coronavirus as it pertains to our community. The rumors have started again. The most important information we can provide is that as of Thursday Afternoon, April 24, 2020, we are not aware of any confirmed cases of the virus here in Quail Creek. That does not mean the virus is not present in our community. We continue to encourage everyone to practice safety first by adhering to CDC guidelines, especially frequent hand washing and social distancing, avoiding forming in groups of any size. It only takes one individual to pass the virus to family members or neighbors. When contacting others, maintain at least six feet of social distance, especially when you are out walking, biking, etc. We have seen numerous cases where this is not happening. We must take the guidelines about groups gathering and social distancing seriously.

Please remember that some residents are voluntarily quarantined, but none of these people have reported to us that they are exhibiting virus symptoms. They have stated that their actions are strictly precautionary. If we are notified by a community member that they have a confirmed case, we are prohibited by law from giving out any specific identifying information about the person(s) involved. However, if a case is confirmed in our community, we will inform you. We also continue to remind people, including our staff and all homeowners, to stay home if you are feeling sick. Should anyone come down with the virus, they should self-quarantine in their home and seek medical attention as needed.
Here is some helpful link to assist us as we continue to fight against the virus.
