It is hard to believe we are near the end of the season! Just one more regular meet and then we are at our Championship Meets. Please be sure to read carefully below about these meet. All athletes will only go to one of the first two meets. All Sub Gremlins only go to the May 7th meet.
I would like thank our timing crew especially Tom O' Sullivan for timing all our meets including most of the high school meets for our valley. Tom and Alan are experts at what they do for our team and the VYC. We also have 3 new data input Ladies that have help so much every week!
I am sure you have all noticed that we have a lot of home meets! We try to keep it local so that we can time the meets. This does however mean that we have a lot of responsibility for the work. We have to load the truck before the meet and at the end of each meet we have to reload and unload. Please try to stay after the meet and help with the loading of the truck, especially if your athlete will be doing the 200 meter as this is when we start to break down . This is the last meet that we have full responsibility to conduct so please sign up to help make this meet go quickly and it is so much fun!
Championship meets. We will have more as we get closer. All athletes will go to a championship meet on either May 7th or May 14th. We will be talking to the athletes more in the next 2 weeks. All Sub-Gremlins will got to the May 7th meet. If your athlete has a qualifying time they must only go to the May 14th meet. Athlete's that are close to the (Q) time may be invited to go to the May 14th meet. Athletes will not be allowed to attend both of those meets, The Individual Events Championship (I.E.C.) meet will be for those May 14th athletes that are top 9 (12 for distance events) between the 2 Leagues after May 14th
