Schools and Understanding Orders of Protection

In the attached article, Aimee Shinall, Peoria County Sheriff's Office Victim Services Coordinator, discusses orders of protection and schools. Whether an order keeps a parent away from a student, a spouse away from an employee, or even two students separated, it is important to understand orders of protection to help keep the school community safe. The article discusses who can request an order, different types of orders, what schools should look for when an order of protection is brought in, and more.
