St. Rita School inspires students in Pre-Kindergarten through grade eight to achieve academic excellence in a safe, nurturing and faith-filled Catholic environment.
We prepare students to be morally responsible, innovative thinkers who, in today’s technology-guided global community, live and share the Love of Christ.
From the Desk of Mrs. Tiezzi

Dear St. Rita School Parents,

We are midway through the final trimester of the school year and we have been operating remotely for 6 long weeks. Although everyone has adapted to our new norm we are all missing the way things are supposed to be. So to get back on track we will be celebrating Grandparents/Special Person’s Day on Friday. As usual we will be celebrating this tradition with a Mass followed by May Crowning. Msgr. Joe will celebrate Mass for us like he did earlier this month and it will be available to watch from the safety of your homes on Friday morning. Please join your child when his/her class watches Mass. Please have your children contact their grandparents and/or special person and invite them to watch Mass as well. A link to the Mass will be sent out to you later this week.

On Sunday, May 3 from 11:30 A.M. - 1:00 P.M. St. Rita School will be hosting a reverse parade in our school yard. Because we have students from many different communities having the teachers drive from house to house is impossible, therefore we are asking our families to come to us. Parents and students are invited to dress up in your St. Rita swag, decorate your car and drive to and through the school parking lot to “see from the distance” the teachers and staff from the school. The faculty will be strategically placed throughout the parking lot and on Gilles Road attired with their gloves and masks ready to wave and give ‘air’ hugs to their students. Please do not park your car or allow your child/ren to exit the car. Everyone needs to practice social distancing protocol for the safety and well being of our St. Rita community. We will send out a map of the parade route later this week. Hope to see you there!

Next week we celebrate our very special teachers during teacher appreciation week. Although we will not be together let’s give a huge shout out to our teachers for the great job they do each and every day. Decorate your doors, make a poster, chalk your sidewalk, put together a video, record a song, or choose another way to get your child’s creativity going to salute our wonderful teachers. Please share your thank you message with your child’s teacher and also Mrs. Bruno so we can post them on social media.

Thank you to all who have been sending in your re-enrollment forms and deposits for the 2020-2021 school year. A separate email intent survey will be sent to those families who have not yet re-enrolled. As we are trying to plan for the upcoming school year we would appreciate your assistance in completing the survey. We understand that this pandemic has financially affected many of our families and that you may not be able to fully commit at this time but please be honest in the survey.
Finally, Mrs. Bathrick will be joining Sr. Anne, Mrs. Barnett and me in making phone calls to our school families. We just want to check in with you to see how you and your family are doing during this time and offer our assistance with anything you may need. We look forward to talking with you to hear your news.
Thank you for entrusting your child/children to our on-line learning care. May God continue to bless you and your family and keep you all safe. I am so looking forward to seeing everyone from a distance on Sunday. Take care and stay well.

God Bless ,
Mrs. Tiezzi

Does Your Company Offer Volunteer Grants?
Volunteer grant programs, also known as “Dollars for Doers” programs, are corporate giving programs created to encourage volunteerism in communities where employees live and work.
Through these programs, companies provide monetary grants to organizations where employees volunteer regularly.

Please take a moment and ask if your employer participates in a Volunteer Grants Program. Your time and talent at St. Rita School could turn into dollars for our school! Questions? Feel free to contact Joanne Bruno at  jbruno.stritaschool@gmail.com .
