Coming Up at Sherwood:

Last PTA Meeting - May 9
There will be a lot happening at the May 9 PTA meeting in order to wrap-up this year and kick-off next school year! Bring your Sherwood friends and neighbors to this important meeting. People will be going "out" after the meeting to socialize.

Sherwood Cafeteria
Items on the May 9 Agenda
  • Hear updates from Superintendent Scot Prebles.
  • Vote on PTA disbandment. (At the April 4 PTA meeting, there was a discussion on being a PTO vs. a PTA. Then a motion was made to disband the PTA on June 30, 2019. The official vote will take place at the May 9 meeting.)
  • Recognize Friend of Children Award recipients.
  • Swear in new Executive Board.
  • Thank outgoing Executive Board.
  • Vote on 2019-20 Budget.
Have you heard of the "Angst" documentary about adolescent anxiety? The district will host two complimentary screenings on this documentary on May 6th and May 8th, from 7:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.

Field day is an exciting event for our kids, and without your help it wouldn't be successful! There are several ways you can help. There are shifts throughout the day from 8am - 2pm for outdoor events and between 10:45-2:45 for Snowie. If you are able to work multiple shifts that is great!
If you are unable to help during the day, we are also looking for families to purchase water balloons and fill up and deliver before school. Additionally, we will need cornhole boards for the day.
Outdoor activity times are:
Grades 1, 2, 3, AM-K
9:45am - 11:00am
Grade 6
11:15am - 12:30pm
Full Day K, 4 and 5
1:15pm - 2:30pm

Forest Hills Survey

The Forest Hills Council of PTAs and PTOs is exploring interest in offering a speaker series during the 2019-20 school year. In order to develop the series, we would like to gauge if there is an interest from parents/guardians to attend presentations and, if so, what topics you would be interested in.
It only takes one minute to complete this survey.
