| | | Reading Boot Camp: Training Your Brain for Deep Reading | |
Have you noticed it’s harder to sit down and truly immerse yourself in a book these days? Maybe there’s a book you’ve been meaning to start—or finish—but it’s been gathering dust. You're not alone. In a world of endless scrolling and constant skimming, our capacity for deep reading can start to fade.
That’s where Reading Boot Camp at the Library comes in!
This summer, we’re giving our brains the workout they deserve. Just as muscles weaken without regular exercise, our mental pathways for sustained focus and deep comprehension grow sluggish without practice. Reading Boot Camp will help rebuild these skills through relaxed reading sessions and short discussions. You’ll choose your own book and join fellow readers once a week to read and reflect, strengthening your reading stamina.
Let’s train our minds to go the distance—one page at a time.
If you are interested, please click the button below to fill out a Google Form so we can find a day/time to meet that works for you.
