IDPH Issues Warning About Potential Cases of Severe Hepatitis in Children

The Illinois Department of Public Health has issued a warning about suspected cases of severe hepatitis in children. The announcement also links to an alert from the CDC regarding nine cases of hepatitis in Alabama. According to the warning, "symptoms of hepatitis, or inflammation of the liver, include fever, fatigue, loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, dark urine, light-colored stools, joint pain, and jaundice."
CSSRC Releases Crisis Response Guidelines for K-12 Schools and Institutions of Higher Education

The Colorado School Safety Resource Center had released the document CSSRC Crisis Response Guidelines for K-12 Schools and Institutions of Higher Education (IHEs). The document looks at the life cycle of a disaster, steps to take in preparing for a crisis, what to do during an emergency and immediately following an incident, and ongoing crisis support.
Last Chance to Register: Advanced Digital Threat Assessment on May 3rd via Zoom

This is the last chance to register for the Advanced Digital Threat Assessment class on May 3rd from 9:30 am-4:00 pm via Zoom. Building upon the Digital Threat Assessment class by Safer Schools Together, Advanced Digital Threat Assessment advances participants' understanding of finding and curating relevant digital information consistent with real-life digital threat assessment data gathering scenarios. Significant engagement and hands-on practice will take place as participants are assembled into investigative teams and given a true-to-life mock scenario.
