We welcome The Reverend Glenna J. Huber as our guest preacher Sunday, May 2
TFCE is intentionally and prayerfully exploring a future ministry partnership with the Church of the Epiphany in downtown D.C. We recently collaborated on the Seven Minutes for Seven Phrases project during Holy Week. Our congregation was also welcome to join Epiphany for adult formation during Lent. This Sunday we welcome Epiphany's rector, Rev'd Glenna Huber, to preach God's word to us and lead our Adult Forum. Read her bio here and join us as we explore ways in which God calls us to share ministry together.

TFCE Bids Farewell to Terri Katon
As we move forward into the future unfolding for our mission and ministry at The Falls Church Episcopal, we recognize that change happens in the church in terms of personnel and pastoral leadership, while the mission continues. Let's face it, change is hard for most, but we people of faith engaging in the mission of the church have the constancy of God’s presence and purposes guiding us forward. For more than five years Terri Katon has served our mission as Administrative Assistant working with our liturgy planning and membership records. Earlier this week, Terri tendered her resignation, effective immediately. We give thanks for her ministry and the ways she supported God’s mission at The Falls Church Episcopal. MORE

In-Person Worship in the Contemporary Church
Greetings from the Regathering Task Force!
What a day Sunday, April 25th was! We had our first in-person gathering in the contemporary church in 412 days! We had almost 50 people gather and it was a wonderful service indeed. Everything went smoothly and this was a critical first step as we slowly move back to doing more and more in-person.
None of this would have been possible without the tremendous dedication of the entire task force. Every member gave so much of their time and talent to make this possible and we are incredibly grateful to them for this gift. And their work is not finished! As we continue to meet every week in the main sanctuary for the 9am service, we will also continue planning on how we can regather in the historic church and begin meeting in person for other ministries. More news on that will be forthcoming.
At the same time that all of us are working hard to continue our plans to regather in-person, we are working equally as hard to be one community and will be doing all we can to include EVERYONE at TFCE through both in-person and virtual offerings. As Andy says, we NEVER closed and throughout the year we have continued to be a beacon of faith, hope, and love to all; that will continue. With our new investment in technology, we will continue to live stream and record services as well as make sure that our ministries are available to all.
Many blessings,
Krista Gauthier and the Regathering Task Force

Prepare dinner for Bailey's Crossroads
Shelter, Sunday, May 9
The Falls Church Episcopal has been preparing dinner for the people staying at the Bailey's Crossroads Community Shelter on the second Sunday of each month. We are preparing the dinner in a responsible and safe manner. Here's the game plan--we need volunteers to:
* Make cupcakes at home and bring them to the church
* Cook the beans at home and bring to the church
* Cut up the onions and peppers at home and bring to the church
* Cook the meat and rice at church and assemble the burritos and put them into trays. Put the beans, onions and peppers, and rice into large trays for delivery. Masks and gloves are mandatory at all times and we will use both the kitchen and Fellowship Hall to help socially distance.
* Deliver the trays and cupcakes to the shelter
* Clean up the kitchen and Fellowship Hall afterwards
Please contact Dave Raglin via email or at 703-835-1198 or Barb Mantegani at 703-835-1194 for more information.

The Little Free Food Pantry
On Fairfax Street near the church’s Thrift Shop is a small “take some food, leave some food” pantry (like the “little libraries” where people can take or leave a book). We are definitely seeing people use that pantry to supplement their groceries, and you can drop off non-perishable food items there at any time.
