Volume 20 | April 29, 2020
Collaboration in Action!

  • As of 12:00 PM April 29, 2020 we are not aware of any HSC clients or employees testing positive for COVID-19.

  • St. Joseph the Worker and A New Leaf have resumed some services on Campus via limited office hours.

  • HSC is working with Maricopa County to staff a “Safe Outdoor Space” at 9th Avenue and Madison. Many thanks to Community Bridges for assisting the voluntary move of people who wanted to relocate their tent to this space. The space has toilets, hand washing stations, and a hydration station. The space will not be open long-term, so we are working to identify ways to provide summer heat relief day space and shelter space for as many people as possible.

  • We continue to provide COVID-19 screening at entry to the Campus, with referral to Circle the City for anyone who answers yes to the questions/ has a fever over 100.4 degrees. Clients in shelter are required to wear a face mask. Clients are offered face masks at entry to the Campus and in the Welcome Center as well.

A big thanks to all of our partners for their flexibility and adaptability for our collective clients! We are inspired by the dedication and problem solving of our employees. Stay safe and heathy!

WE NEED WATER!
Current Client Supply Will Last About Two Weeks

Please join us and our Campus partners as we collect cases of water to keep our clients hydrated through the pandemic and summer heat. We will accept cases or pallets of bottle sizes 8 to 34 ounces. Flavored waters and sports drinks also accepted.

Our next donation drop-off is May 15th and it couldn’t be easier. You pull up and our staff will remove the donations from your trunk or the back of your vehicle. Call Ivan Orozco at 602-282-0849 or email volunteer@hsc-az.org for more information.
