City Hall Plaza and parking on the west side of SE Green Street in front of City Hall is closed for construction as part of the Downtown Market Plaza project. We appreciate your patience as we work to bring this dynamic project to our downtown.

Fire Station No. 4 Open House & Hose Uncoupling

April 4 | 11 a.m.

5031 NE Lakewood Way


The public is invited to the Fire Station No. 4 Open House. Receive a behind-the-scenes look at the new facility, hear from Mayor Baird and Chief Snider and witness the unique hose uncoupling ceremony. Light refreshments will be offered.


Parking

To help manage limited parking, a free shuttle service will be running between the fire station and Blue Springs Marina, 1700 NE Bowlin Road. Parking is also available at nearby businesses within walking distance. Please carpool if possible.

Volunteer for Stream Team

April 20 | 10 a.m. - noon

(Volunteers will meet in the parking lot of Baxter's Coffee)


Stream Team protects our local stream-side habitats by removing litter and debris from streams within the City’s parks. Trash bags and gloves are provided. Volunteers must register and sign a waiver prior to participating in the event. Student and scout community service hours are available. Prizes are awarded for the most unique items collected. Call 969.1800 for more information.

City's Maintenance Facility


RecycleFEST is back just in time for some spring cleaning! The public can bring up to four grocery sacks of documents for shredding at no cost.

Southwest McClendon Drive


A section of Southwest McClendon Drive between Southwest First Street and Southwest Peggy Circle will close on April 8 for approximately three months for sanitary sewer work as part of the McClendon Ditch Sewer Improvements Project. Join us as we kick off the construction of Hangar 2 at the Lee's Summit Municipal Airport. With corporate aircraft hangar storage, first-class amenities for passengers and crews, an observation deck and an area for the LSR7 Aerospace Academy, this 50,000-square-foot facility marks a significant milestone in the future of aviation in Lee's Summit.
