Next week we celebrate Teacher Appreciation and Nurse’s Appreciation Week. All our teachers and staff, as well as Mrs. Palma, work hard every day to ensure that your child/ren receives the best education possible here at St. Rita. It would be nice to have your son/daughter write a simple note of thanks and appreciation to those faculty members who do so much for them.

Just a reminder that the SMART Aid portal for the 2019-2020 school year will open tomorrow, May 1, 2019 and will remain available through July 15, 2019. Financial assistance is guaranteed for one school year only. Each year families are required to reapply for financial assistance based on their current employment and economic status. It is important to note that family aid is reviewed on a first come first served basis. Instructions on how to access the portal were sent out via email on Monday and are available on our webpage.

Grandparent’s Day is scheduled for this Friday beginning with Mass at 8:45 at church. At the end of Mass we will have the May Crowning and then present the April awards. Following Mass the children and their grandparents will return to the school where grandparents can visit the classroom. Please remember we do not have elevator access to our second floor to assist grandparents with limited mobility. If you haven’t sent the R.S.V.P. to Grandparents Day please do so by Thursday.

Thank you for entrusting your child/ren to our care. Have a great week.

God Bless,
Mrs. Tiezzi

You don't want to miss
our St. Rita School
Saturday, May 18th

St. Rita School's first 5K Color Run is a non-competitive and un-timed course located at the Hamden Town Center Park. It's a day of community and color that you will experience with friends and family, and it's a healthy and fun way to support St. Rita School. Moms and Dads, current students and alumni, grandparents, and avid runners will love this event.

Spread the word to alumni, grandparents, family, and friends, too. If they can't attend our color run they can donate to the school or sponsor a student. There are many ways to support this spring fundraiser ...
Run, jog, walk, or cartwheel along the course!

See you at the finish line!
The SRS 22nd Annual golf tournament will be held Monday June 3rd and we need your help to make it a success! Are you a golfer or do you know one?! We would love to have you and your friends, family or business partners attend this fun event! If you don't golf how about sponsoring the tournament, there are many levels available to support the tournament. Haven't complete your assessment yet?? Any sponsorship you secure counts toward your family assessment at a rate of 60%! Secure a tee sign for $150 from a local business and $90 counts toward your assessment. The form for the tournament is attached. Please also feel free to share the information with anyone you think might be interested for a day of golf, food, raffles and prizes, and of course fun!
Your time and talents are needed for the continued success of our school. Even just one hour of volunteer time makes a great difference to the school community.

Want to help but don’t see a good fit, email us at hsasrs.stritaschool@gmail.com and we can find something for you to help with!
