Feast of St. Joseph the Worker

Let us praise Christ the Lord, as we celebrate the memory of Saint Joseph.

Joseph, patron saint of workers,
blending skill with charity,
silent carpenter, we praise you!
Joining work with honesty,
you taught Christ with joy to labor,
sharing his nobility.
Joseph, close to Christ and Mary,
lived with them in poverty,
shared with them their home and labor,
worked with noble dignity.
May we seek God’s will as you did,
leader of his family!
Joseph, inspiration for workers,
man of faith and charity,
make us honest, humble, faithful,
strong with Christ’s true liberty,
Make our labor and our leisure
fruitful to eternity!

REPAIR AFFAIR, we want you!
Saturday, June 26, 2021

The Cathedral Repair Affair Team does not yet know where our location will be or what job(s) will be needed, but there is a variety of possibilities: building a wheelchair ramp, exterior siding and porch painting, foundation and trim painting, yard work, minor electrical, minor plumbing, minor carpentry, or other jobs. All work will be done outside of the home due to Covid-19. We would really like to have you on our team. If you are willing to help, please call Rita Owens at 502-387-7511 or email her at mthexprt@gmail.com.
Central Louisville Community Ministries update
Our ability to provide emergency rent and utility assistance to our neighbors in need has greatly expanded during the pandemic due to increased federal and local grants. We're grateful to Cathedral donors and the network of other congregations who are also supporting us in this work. More than $500,000 has been funneled out into our community. 6342 bags of food have been provided, and 3641 masks.

We continue to ask for donations of personal care items (but NO over-the-counter medications) that can be dropped off at the CLCM office, 809 South 4th Street, on Mon-Thurs between 9:30-11:30 am.

Also, our spring fundraiser is underway, and you can mail a check to the office, or donate at our website: https://www.centrallouisvillecm.org/
