April 4, 2020
Hello Neighbor,

On Monday, April 1st, Mayor Bowser issued a stay-at-home order . It was an important step that I called for last week because the only way we slow the spread of the dangerous coronavirus is by limiting interaction with other people.

As of April 4, 2020, DC has 145 new positive coronavirus cases, bringing the total number of cases to 902, and sadly, 6 new coronavirus related deaths, bringing the total to 21.

To better inform residents of the impact of the coronavirus outbreak, find in the link below information from yesterday's briefing from the Department of Health. This information include coronavirus preparations, resources needed, how DC is predicting the number of residents who will be infected by the virus, and when we will see rates of infections increase.

In this link, you will also find how the District plans to increase capacity at hospitals and secure the supplies needed to take care of more patients with coronavirus, click here:  https://bit.ly/3dQw8kT .

We will continue to band together to confront the challenges ahead and make tough sacrifices.
