Note from Jean Behnke
Dear Parents,

We are delighted that so many of you are planning to return to Crossroads next year. Planning in the time of COVID is very difficult, but we are hopeful that between now and August of 2021, we will be making progress toward normalcy. At that time, we will send you more detailed information on our plans for the school year. For your planning purposes, our new school year will begin on August 26.

Health Office Updates
Spring Break: Return to School Information

We are so happy to hear of pandemic progress, but we still have a way to go before Crossroads may lift travel restrictions. The aim is keep our community healthy and minimize disruption to other students and our school caused by quarantine from those who choose to travel. Crossroads will continue to require students to be in New England for 10 days before they return to in-person school; exceptions are noted in our policy.

Many areas across the US still have substantial levels of transmission. New viral variants have emerged in parts of the US and are considered more infectious. NH DHHS advises that any travel increases an unvaccinated person’s chances of getting infected. For these reasons, CDC currently advises against travel and public transportation for those who are unvaccinated (i.e., our students).

General Updates
MATHCOUNTS States

The stellar performances of three Crossroads students at the MATHCOUNTS Chapter Invitational qualified them to advance to the state level. David, Gael, and Roxane recently braved the MATHCOUNTS State Competition, performing well against New Hampshire’s strongest mathletes. Roxane earned fifth place, narrowly missing advancement to Nationals by just one place! Congratulations to David, Gael, and Roxane for their exceptional skill, determination, and effort at MATHCOUNTS States!
Summer Updates
Crossroads Summer Program!

Crossroads Academy Summer Programs will begin on June 21 and run through August 13, 2021. Visit our website or email summer@crossroadsacademy.org if you are interested in signing up for any of our one-week programs this summer.

We encourage you to spread the word to your friends who may be seeking new summer opportunities!
Parent Association Updates
Community Connections

Being a member of the Crossroads community is truly special. Since we cannot, at this time, gather together to meet and share stories, the Parent Association has developed a "Crossroads Connections" series in which families will be introduced through interviews each week.

This week, we introduce you to:

Parent Name: Michael and Tiffany Reid
Crossroads Students: Nate in First Grade, and an incoming kindergartner!
At Crossroads Since: 2020

(An explanation for the photo: "Our first and only time at a monster truck show. Perhaps we enjoyed ourselves more than the children.")

Business Meeting TONIGHT

Tonight, April 6 at 7:00 pm, please join us to vote on a petition for Imagination Playground Blocks to help augment the current outdoor recess space.

EVERY GIFT MATTERS!

Our hearts are filled with gratitude for the enduring spirit of our community! Thank you for all your gifts to the Crossroads Fund 2021

If you haven't made your gift this year, It’s not too late to join us in supporting Strong Minds, Kind Hearts. Help us reach our goal of 100% participation. Click here to donate today!

Why is your participation so important?
High participation is a huge vote of confidence, an important sign that virtually all parents invest in their children’s welfare and support the school’s mission. This percentage can also have an impact on gifts from outside sources; most foundations consider parent participation rates before donating funds to a school. EVERY GIFT MATTERS.
