• The AMA is holding a National Physicians Town Hall tomorrow, Thursday, April 9 at 2:00 pm eastern time to discuss the challenges faced by physicians during this unprecedented time. Space is limited, so be sure to register as soon as possible.

• MedChi continues to advocate on behalf of physicians' needs in response to the coronavirus crisis:

• We are urging Governor Hogan to provide additional funding for physician practices.
• We have requested that the Maryland Primary Care Program release funds to help physicians maintain their employees.
• We've asked the Maryland Board of Physicians to suspend the prohibition against a dispensing physician mailing a patient's medication to their home.
• We have joined a national request for HHS to provide one month of revenue to each physician, nurse practitioner, and physician assistant enrolled in Medicare or Medicaid.

• CMS has developed a summary of actions they have taken to ensure clinicians have maximum flexibility to reduce unnecessary barriers to providing patient care.
