OUR MISSION:

St. Rita School inspires students in Pre-Kindergarten through grade eight to achieve academic excellence in a safe, nurturing and faith-filled Catholic environment.

We prepare students to be morally responsible, innovative thinkers who, in today’s technology-guided global community, live and share the Love of Christ.

From the Desk of Mrs. Tiezzi

Dear St. Rita School Parents and Guardians,

This past Sunday our school and faith formation families joined together for a beautiful Mass followed by a fun-filled Easter egg hunt, hospitality, and a visit by the Easter Bunny! Thank you to Jen Buchanan Onderko and family for organizing the event, our school families for donating eggs and candy, and the parish hospitality committee for providing the breakfast treats. Mrs. Zinn, our faith formation director and I, will be planning a few more events next school year to bring together all our school and faith formation students and their families for worship and fellowship. St. Rita School is one of the largest ministries of our parish, St. Paul VI, so it is vitally important that the school families be a visible presence in life of our parish. Working together we will continue to strengthen and grow God’s kingdom on earth here at our parish, St. Paul VI.

Our Lenten service project to benefit St. Baldrick’s is coming to an end. We will continue to accept donations through Easter week. Currently we have exceeded our goal which is amazing! Thank you for your generosity. Congratulations to Mrs. DiRenzo’s class for raising $1038.79, Mrs. Hamling’s class for raising $611.78, and Mrs. Gertz’s class for raising $550.84. In June we are planning to partner with the St. Baldrick’s Foundation for a special activity and celebration to continue to raise awareness of childhood cancer.

The re-enrollment letter which contains the tuition rates for the upcoming school year was emailed to you a few weeks ago and a hard copy was sent home with your youngest child. Please follow the instructions in the letter to re-enroll via the FACTS Tuition Management portal as we give first priority to our currently enrolled families. Please note the re-enrollment fee is $161 ($150 plus $11.00 FACTS fee). You will be eligible to apply for financial assistance once your re-enrollment and tuition contract are completed. Financial aid will be awarded on a rolling basis this year. To ensure a spot for your child, please re-enroll by Friday, April 25. If you will not be returning for the ‘25-‘26 school year, please notify the school office as soon as possible. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

I apologize for the delay in sending out the registration information for the summer programs. The link for the St. Rita Summer programs will be sent out to our families soon. The programs are open to incoming kindergarteners through incoming 5th graders. Registration and payment will be on-line through FACTS. Please see the attached flyer for additional information.

This coming Sunday we will celebrate Palm Sunday, marking Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem, and the beginning of Holy Week. Holy Week is most definitely a very sacred time of the year, for it is how we commemorate and remember the last week of Jesus' life on this earth. These are the days leading up to the great Easter Feast. Please take some time next week to take your child/ren to the beautiful and sacred liturgies of Holy Week and Easter. Tomorrow at 1:45 P.M. our 6th grade class will lead us in the Living Stations of the Cross, a spiritual journey through Jesus’ suffering and sacrifice. The Stations will take place in the school gym. Please join us if you are able.

School will close for the Easter holiday this Friday, April 11 and reopen on Tuesday, April 22. Our Spring break is the week of April 14-21. On behalf of the St. Rita School faculty and staff, I wish you and your family a very holy and blessed Easter.

God Bless,

Mrs. Tiezzi
