Membership Drive Nearing the Finish Line
It's not too late to upgrade or become an Animal Advocate Club member to help more animals like Sonic find their special person!

Monthly giving members are vital to the continuity of our adoption and community pet resources programs and provide stability to our organization all year long. This year our membership goal was 30 new or upgraded Animal Advocate Club members, and we're thrilled to announce that we're currently at 37! Can you help us crush our goal by getting us to 40?
Starting at just $5 a month, you can get special membership perks and, more importantly, know that you're making a difference for cats, dogs, and people in our community. Our members make special "happy tails" possible, like Sonic the kitten.
Sonic came to Animal Friends Alliance as a tiny kitten who needed a foster. He was placed with the Bergerud family, and immediately Crystal Bergerud realized something special was happening. Those of us who have had a special soul connection with an animal know how unique and magical this bond can be, and Crystal saw this was happening with her son, who had found a kitty soulmate in their new foster.
They officially made him part of the family about a year ago and, as Crystal says, "it just keeps getting cuter!" Her son even brought his soul-kitty to preschool with him, and Sonic was calm and patient with every kiddo who wanted to hold him.

We hope every animal we serve is lucky enough to find their human soulmate, but we can only continue to take in animals like Sonic with your continued support. May 7th - Kittens & Comics: Join Animal Friends Alliance at Gryphon Games & Comics on Free Comic Book Day to learn more about our mission and lifesaving superhero work for companion animals in Northern Colorado, and to dive into the kitten cuddle puddle of your dreams. We'll be in the Wells Room in the back with the kittens, and don't forget to browse Gryphon's selection of comic books while you're there.
May 13th - Bark in the Park: Watch the CSU Rams take on the Boise State Broncos in the final series before the NCAA Softball Tournament for their dog-friendly Bark in the Park night. Animal Friends Alliance will be there with information on our services and programs, so bring your pup and stop by to say hello! The game is from 4p to 7p at Ram Field and admission is free.
May 14th - K9s & Can-Ams Adoption Event: Do you love power AND pups? Come to the NoCo Powersports dealership to see what new Can-Am units are available for summer and meet some adoptable pups from Animal Friends Alliance! NoCo Powersports is donating a portion of the proceeds of every Can-Am sold and matching the first $25 of every donation to Animal Friends Alliance. If you've been dreaming about a motorcycle or off road vehicle, stop by to see what's new.
May 14th - Animal Friends Alliance Supply Drive: Help us get the supplies we need for our shelters and clinic from 10am to 2pm on Saturday 5/14 at Sam's Club in Fort Collins! Do your shopping and pick up something extra for the animals, or if you'd like to volunteer to help, email volunteer@savinganimalstoday.org.
May 15th - Kitten Yoga: Feel connected with Vinyasa Flow Yoga at Genesis Health Clubs Miramont South with kittens from Animal Friends Alliance. Suggested donation of $20 can be paid in class by cash or Venmo. All money collected will go to Animal Friends Alliance. Space in class is limited, so if you want to stretch out with some furry kitten friends, don't wait to register! To reserve your spot, email Stacy Spellerberg at: sspellerberg@genesishealthclubs.com
June 10–26 - BrewPawPaw Bingo: Our third annual BrewPawPaw Bingo officially starts June 10th for its 17-day run this summer with new locations, deals, and an awesome limited-edition tee designed by local artist Guerdrum Art! Excited? Then get your tastebuds ready and keep your eyes peeled, because we will have lots of special events coming up for BrewPawPaw and cards go on sale May 20!

Meet Rolo and his brother Pounce! At 12 years old, don’t let their age fool you; these Beagle boys love to play and still have lots of love to give!
These boys are as friendly as can be and love children, snuggling up together, and long walks full of good places to sniff. These two seniors are a bonded pair who do everything together and would prefer a home that can take them both – they even wag their tails together at the same pace! They would make great companions for any home.

Pups on the Poudre Makes Our Pooches Pretty! |
Corey Pantano-Fryar may no longer be Animal Friends Alliance staff, but that doesn't mean she's stopped tending to the extensive grooming needs of the animals we rescue.
Corey and her team opened Pups on the Poudre Grooming toward the end of 2021 and have already donated over $800 worth of services this year! We can't thank them enough (and Darwin, pictured here getting a spa day, says thanks, too) for all they do to help our dogs and cats look and feel their best as they look for loving homes. Be sure to remember them for all of your pet's grooming needs! |
