A new trend fueling art auctions...."flippers" and "frequent fliers".    The "flipping" trend  (frequent reselling of the same piece and shrinking ownership periods) is fueled by an increased global demand for certain artists, particularly from new collectors in Asia, and a shift to viewing art more as an investment.  Featured left, "The Architect's Home in the Ravine" is resold so often, it is now called a "frequent flier" .....


New Collectors - Don't Miss!

Landscape art is a popular genre among buyers and collectors. A new show opens this
Saturday, April 7, 4:30 to 6:30 pm at the Bruce S. Kershner Gallery (inside the Fairfield Public Library).  Featuring an array of landscape art in many styles, mediums and prices by eight Connecticut artists.  Wine and pre-dinner hors d'oeuvres will be served.  A visual experience you won't want to miss!




As a complement to this fabulous show, we will be hosting a discussion on the history of landscape art and why this genre is so popular among collectors and buyers on Wednesday, April 11, 7:00 pm in the Fairfield Public Library.    Seating is limited
