More CRM Easter Celebrations!

Cross Wind Restoration Center

"We had three amazing services this past Easter weekend. Our Good Friday service featured "The Last Words of Jesus on the Cross". On Saturday, we had an all-day Filipino outreach event followed by worship in the Tagalog language which was well attended by Filipinos in the area. We had a packed multicultural Resurrection Sunday service with close to 250 people in attendance. We have over 30 faith commitments over the past few weeks. Two brave souls were baptized on Sunday. Please pray for more of our new believers to make a decision to follow the Lord through baptism in the next weeks." --Pastor Ramon Navarro

Galilee Baptist, Loveland, CO

Our Easter weekend was good. We had guests but also had some of our people traveling which means our attendance was somewhat even. We actually had one of our higher attendance Sundays, this past Sunday.. It included more guests than on Easter Sunday. We are a unique group. 🙂 The highlight of our Easter weekend was that we had 60 kids plus parents at our Easter event (Eggstravaganza) on Saturday 4/16 with many fantastic conversations and new connections. On Easter Sunday we had several returning guests and first-time guests. --Pastor Andy Rachel
Authentic Life Church, Littleton, CO

It was good to come out of the pandemic where the first Easter (2020) was all online and then the 2nd year, though we saw a lot of people come back, there was still a little fear and trepidation. So, this year having 1750 people coming in over our three services and just really feeling free... free to worship... free to love... free to give their lives over to Jesus, was just awesome to see and experience. Eleven made faith commitments in Christ. As a church plant where half of our 3 1/2 years of existence has been in the middle of Covid, it was a great, great Easter indeed! We are averaging 8 baptisms a month, with 10 more believers publicly declaring their faith through baptism on April 24th. --Pastor Bruce Fosdick

Bethel Celebrates 150th Anniversary
Bethel is Converge's university. Take a minute to read about its humble beginnings and its future dreams.

History 101
As Bethel celebrates its sesquicentennial, Professor of History Chris Gehrz was inspired to reflect on the university’s history. Here, he outlines five turning points that provide highlights of Bethel’s story through the beginning of the 21st century.
Beginnings. Bethel’s beginning in 1871 is more dramatic than most: immigrants studying to prepare for ministry amid the embers of the Great Chicago Fire. About 20 years after pietistic Swedish Baptist immigrants began to organize in the United States, preacher and Union Navy veteran John Alexis Edgren organized a new seminary in Chicago. Its intended host—the first Swedish Baptist Church—had burned down, so Edgren opened his school as the Swedish department of the Baptist Theological Union. At first there was but one student, with a second joining halfway through the year. Slow growth continued over a difficult first 20 years. After temporary moves to St. Paul, Minnesota, and Stromsburg, Nebraska, the Swedish Baptist Theological Seminary returned to the Morgan Park neighborhood of Chicago...
Transformational Gift Propels Bethel Campaign Beyond Goal

The ongoing generosity of donors, coupled with the largest transformational gift in Bethel’s history, propelled the Called to More campaign past an ambitious initial goal of $150 million to an unprecedented $163 million in giving. God is at work, building our university to continue to prepare our next generation of Christian leaders.
We Are Stronger When We Pray Together!

  • Praise the Lord for our partner churches' amazing conversions and baptisms during the Easter season.
  • Praise the Lord for seeds planted. Pray that those seeds will take root and result in growing believers.
  • Praise the Lord for leadership conferences that renew us, challenge us, and give us opportunities to build deeper relationships with each other.
  • Praise the Lord for our faithful prayer warriors who stand in the gap for the ministries of Converge Rocky Mountain. Keep praying. The enemy is a live and well!
  • Praise the Lord for our Overseer board that leads our movement with wisdom and courage.
  • Pray for First Baptist-Idaho Springs, Grace Mountain-CO Springs, Cody Bible Fellowship-Cody, WY, as they seek new pastors.
  • Pray for our church planters as they courageously seek to build new congregations in many times hostile territory. Pray that generous funds will be raised during the Church Planting weekend, which will enable more congregations to be birthed.
  • Pray for Regional President Paul Mitton. His cardiologist recently informed him that his heart has returned to normal, and he can move forward full-speed ahead. is feeling good and is taking steps to strengthen his heart. Paul will be busy with Converge leadership meetings, preaching in CRM churches, rolling out the Elder training materials, wrapping up the pilot church program for church strengthening, and locating a new Executive Assistant. He and Janelle continue to pray for the churches daily. Let them know if you have specific prayer requests.
