TOWN CLEAN UP EVENT - APRIL 18

Save the date for the Spring Clean Up Day on April 18th from 9:00am – 12:30pm. Bring your family, clippers, garden gloves, rakes and wheelbarrows and help us clean up around Town. Volunteers can meet at 8:30 at Five Corners for a morning welcome and assignments (Coffee and Donuts provided). Late arrivals are welcome! Town Clean up is a great way to meet your neighbors and give back to the community. Contact Marc Schaadt at 425-753-0049 with questions or for more information.

SPURGE LAUREL - NOXIOUS WEED

Have you noticed bright pink ribbons of flagging tape fluttering from good-looking green plants (some still small, others quite tall)? Looks deceive! They are spurge laurel - dangerous, toxic plants spreading throughout the Village. Using gloves, pull, or dig it out - Now, Today, During Town Clean-up, Any Time you see it !! Place in commercial yard waste totes - not in your own compost pile.

TRUCK OWNERS NEEDED

TRUCK OWNERS: Are you willing to haul wood chips from the beach to various spots throughout the Village? Please contact Paula Dix.

REPORT COYOTE SIGHTINGS

There have been suspicious coyote sightings in town, so if you have an unusual or disturbing wildlife encounter, please report the incident to the Town Clerk so it can be reported and followed up on by the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS). Please note the date and time of the incident in your communication.

COUNCIL BUSINESS

The Council held their regular meeting on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, to discuss/act on the following:

  • Public Camping Ordinance 488: Council passed Public Camping Ordinance 488, which prohibits camping on public property at all times except when specifically authorized in advance upon application to the Town for a special event permit.
  • Review of the Procurement Policy: Council reviewed the Town Procurement Policy and suggested potential changes to some of the amounts in Section 3, which outlines Delegation of Purchasing Authority, and Section 4, outlining Purchases of Equipment, Materials, Supplies or Purchased Services. These amounts have not changed in some time, and the suggested increases will be more in line with the increased costs of goods and services. Changes to policy will be revisited and voted on at the April council meeting.

The next Council meeting will be Tuesday, April 14th at Councilmember McCarthy's home.
