Using Opportunity Zones to Start or Grow Your Business

In this webinar, Special Assistant to the President, Ben Hobbs will discuss what Opportunity Zones are, how simple it is for investors and entrepreneurs to create funds, and the tax incentives of investing in businesses in qualifying zones. Opportunity Zones were created as part of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017 to help stimulate long-term, private sector investment into economic activity in all 50 states and U.S. Territories. Governor Steve Bullock designated 25 Opportunity Zones in metropolitan and rural areas of Montana as targeted areas to stimulate business investment.

Evolving Federal Contractor Cybersecurity Requirements*
Monday, April 27 - 1:00PM-4:00PM

A dam Austin, Cybersecurity Lead at Totem.Tech--a small business DoD prime contractor--will lead a workshop on the evolving cybersecurity requirements for Federal government contractors. The workshop will focus on the two "complimentary and concurrent" DoD cybersecurity compliance frameworks: the DoD 800-171 Assessment Methodology and the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC). Attendees will learn how to counsel contractors on calculating a compliance score for their cybersecurity program, and will be exposed to several free or low-cost resources for improving their program to obtain a CMMC certification. There will be plenty of time for discussion so come ready with questions!
