Changes to Our Events
Because of the COVID-19 coronavirus, we’ve had to cancel or change some of our spring programs and events through the beginning of May. We’re disappointed, but we want to do our part to keep people and our animals safe.
Instead of having a
Party for the Planet fair on April 18 at the Zoo, we'll be celebrating Earth Day online! From feeding hummingbirds, which are important pollinators, to recycling plastic, to planting native flowers and grasses, we’ll be spending this
Earth Day, April 22, talking about some of the changes we can make to help our Earth. Check out our social media for some great ideas!
We were originally going to have a chalk drawing competition at the Zoo for
Endangered Species Day in May, but we’ve decided to try a
virtual art contest instead! We’ll send out the new contest and prizes outline next week.
We have also decided to postpone Eat & Drink at the Zoo, a new event that was scheduled for May 21. We want to make sure everyone who visits the Zoo for this new event has a good time, so we’ll work to find a better time in the year to move the event.
