Miss the Zoo?
If you miss visiting the Zoo, visit us on social media! We’re on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube.

Since we can’t be open right now, we’re doing our best to bring you extra special Zoo To You behind-the-scenes videos, mini-classes from EdZOOcation, and updates on what we’re doing. And make sure you join us LIVE every Friday on Facebook!

Many of our videos are hosted by our Zoo Director, Josh Sisk, and feature our zoo keepers and animals in ways you've never seen before!

We Need Your Help
The world has changed a lot in the last month! We know this time is hard on everyone, and we hope for the best for all our Zoo friends and family. We are so thankful for the people and organizations that have supported the Zoo. We are working on a way and time we can reopen the Zoo as soon as possible, but please rest assured that until we do, our top priority will continue to be our commitment to the community and mission.

As you can imagine, delaying the opening of the Zoo is very difficult for us. Visitors, members, events, programs, and donations are all vital parts of our ability to run the zoo, feed our animals, and make sure we are fulfilling our educational mission. We are hopeful that once we do open, we’ll be able to catch right back up, especially with the great changes we’ve made in the last year. But we need your help now while we’re still closed.

If you’re able to give back, please consider a gift to help the Zoo during this uncertain time at www.potawatomizoo.org/product/animal-care-fund.
Changes to Our Events

Because of the COVID-19 coronavirus, we’ve had to cancel or change some of our spring programs and events through the beginning of May. We’re disappointed, but we want to do our part to keep people and our animals safe.

Instead of having a Party for the Planet fair on April 18 at the Zoo, we'll be celebrating Earth Day online! From feeding hummingbirds, which are important pollinators, to recycling plastic, to planting native flowers and grasses, we’ll be spending this Earth Day, April 22, talking about some of the changes we can make to help our Earth. Check out our social media for some great ideas!

We were originally going to have a chalk drawing competition at the Zoo for Endangered Species Day in May, but we’ve decided to try a virtual art contest instead! We’ll send out the new contest and prizes outline next week.

We have also decided to postpone Eat & Drink at the Zoo, a new event that was scheduled for May 21. We want to make sure everyone who visits the Zoo for this new event has a good time, so we’ll work to find a better time in the year to move the event.

Shop and Support the Zoo
