The Paycheck Protection Program, implemented by sections 1102 and 1106 of the CARES Act, expands the Small Business Administration 7(a) loan program to provide up to $349 billion in 100% federally-guaranteed loans to small employers and eligible self-employed individuals impacted by COVID-19.

This April 5 update provides a detailed review of current guidance and remaining questions. We continue to update our resources as new guidance comes out.

On April 9, we are offering a free webinar, in conjunction with the Iowa State Bar Association, to provide a review of recent COVID-19 legislation key to tax professionals and their clients.

We are excited to welcome Guido van der Hoeven as a new part-time agricultural tax specialist! Guido recently retired, after a 40-year career, as an Extension Specialist in the Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics at North Carolina State University. Guido holds an M.S. in Agricultural Economics and is an Enrolled Agent who has presented income tax educational programming across the United States.
