The Drumheller and District Chamber of Commerce will host a Political Candidates’ Forum on Tuesday, April 2 at the Badlands Community Facility for candidates running in the Drumheller-Stettler electoral division. Doors will open to the public at 6:30 p.m. with the forum commencing at 7:00 p.m . sharp.

The invited candidates, in alphabetical order, are: Holly Heffernan (New Democratic Party), Greg Herzog (Alberta Advantage Party), Nate Horner (United Conservative Party), Jason Hushagen (Alberta Independence Party), Mark Nikota (Alberta Party) and Rick Strankman (Independent). Candidates will each have the opportunity to introduce themselves and present their party platform followed by a question and answer period.

The forum will provide a great opportunity to hear from the candidates looking for your vote on Election Day, Tuesday, April 16.

Our Annual General Meeting took place on Wednesday, March 27, and we are pleased to welcome the following members to our Board of Directors:

We also had some interesting and engaging roundtable discussions on the future of the World's Largest Dinosaur. We thank all those that participated and look forward to reviewing the notes from those discussions.
5th ANNUAL SPRING EXPO Trade Show- April 26 & 27.

The Spring Expo is Drumheller's annual home and garden-style trade show, taking place April 26 & 27 at the Badlands Community Facility. Booths are selling quickly; if you have a product or service you want to promote, don't wait!

We've lowered the booth fees- an 8x8 is only $150 + GST and a 10x10 is $200 + GST. *There are also 6 nonprofit tables for a reduced rate- only one left.

Attention Local Restaurants, Caterers and Cafes
Caterers, restaurants and other food and beverage-related businesses are invited to participate in the Taste of Drumheller at the Spring Expo trade show.

How it works : the DDCC will sell $2 tickets to the public which can be redeemed at your booth for food or beverages. You will not have to handle any cash! After the event is over you will be paid for 75% of the tickets you redeemed Download the application for more info . Only 4 of these booths are available!

Save the Date- Upcoming Lunch & Learns
We've taken a brief pause on our Lunch & Learn program to focus on numerous other events (Annual General Meeting, Political Candidate's Forum, Spring Expo trade show) but are making plans for two more Lunch & Learn sessions before summer is in full swing:

The Town of Drumheller continues to add resources to the Flood Readiness section of their website. We encourage you to check out these resources to ensure both your homes and workplaces are prepared.

Also, the Town will be hosting a Scribe Course for Emergency Management on Thursday, May 2 from 8:30 am until noon. There is no cost for this course. If you have any employees that you feel would benefit from this course, please email Lana Bosch to register them.
Dinosaur Trail Golf & Country Club Annual Fundraising Dinner & Auction
Saturday April 13th at the Badlands Community Facility. Cocktails at 5 pm, Dinner at 6 pm.
