Food Pantry Expansion and Remodel
 
The Interfaith Food Pantry has recently remodeled and upgraded their refrigeration area to accommodate protein rich perishable foods, such as frozen meats and dairy in addition to the fresh produce harvested at both Veggie Village Community Donation Gardens. With seed money raised at the 2016 Celebration of Excellence Gala, Interfaith installed a 392 cubic feet walk-in freezer and two 47 cubic feet of commercial refrigerators.

Reverend Don Gebert Speaks at IYP's Executive Speaker Series
 
Reverend Don Gebert, Founding Executive Director of Interfaith of The Woodlands spoke at Interfaith Young Professional's Inaugural Executive Speaker Series event. Reverend Gebert delivered a powerful message sharing the history of The Woodlands and the integral part Interfaith plays in our community. He inspired the audience of all ages to never give up on their dreams.

Athlete Registration- Distribute bags and packets with race information to athletes
  
Wednesday, April 25th
Athlete Registration Shift 2 (12:15 - 5:15 pm) 36 volunteers needed

Thursday, April 26th
Athlete Registration Shift 1 (8:30 am - 1:30 pm) 16 volunteers needed
Athlete Registration Shift 2 (12:15 - 5:15 pm) 19 volunteers needed

 
Senior Activities: Saint Patrick's Day Bingo and Spring Luncheon!

Interfaith of The Woodlands provides many Senior Adult activities to our community. Senior Services held two fabulous events this month with the help of many volunteers! It was a full house at the St. Patrick's Day Bingo and 125 Seniors enjoyed the Annual Spring Luncheon at the South County Community Center. The King and Queen were also announced, Rose Meier and Rudy Justice will represent Interfaith and the South County Community Center at the Montgomery County Fair.
 

Spring Caregivers Conference

 
The Caregivers Conference will be held Saturday, May 5th at Christ Church United Methodist Church and will feature free skill-building and informative workshops for family members caring for a loved one, including children with special needs.

Volunteer for Serving Our Seniors!

Serving Our Seniors is one of our largest service days of the year. Join us Saturday, April 14, 2018 to volunteer and help serve our senior neighbors. This Interfaith volunteer opportunity is unique in that we can accept volunteers of ALL AGES! This is a great chance for you to serve your neighbors either with your family, a group, your company, or even alone. We ask that you register by April 6, 2018. April Food Pantry Needs

Each month Interfaith's Food Pantry feeds 1,500 individuals. In addition to serving the families that visit Interfaith every day, the Interfaith Food Pantry also serves home bound Seniors. Volunteers help package and delivers groceries to Seniors in the senior complexes once a month. Roughly 185 seniors receive monthly grocery deliveries.
