Reverend Don Gebert Speaks to Interfaith Young Professionals at Inaugural Event

Reverend Don Gebert, Founding Executive Director of Interfaith of The Woodlands spoke at Interfaith Young Professional's Inaugural Executive Speaker Series event. Reverend Gebert delivered a powerful message sharing the history of The Woodlands and the integral part Interfaith plays in our community. He inspired the audience of all ages to never give up on their dreams.

Serving Our Seniors is one of our largest service days of the year. Join us Saturday, April 14, 2018 to volunteer and help serve our senior neighbors. This Interfaith volunteer opportunity is unique in that we can accept volunteers of ALL AGES! This is a great chance for you to serve your neighbors either with your family, a group, your company, or even alone. We ask that you register by April 6, 2018. Food Pantry Remodel
 
The Interfaith Food Pantry has recently remodeled and upgraded their refrigeration area to accommodate protein rich perishable foods, such as frozen meats and dairy in addition to the fresh produce harvested at both Veggie Village Community Donation Gardens. With seed money raised at the 2016 Celebration of Excellence Gala, Interfaith installed a 392 cubic feet walk-in freezer and two 47 cubic feet of commercial refrigerators.

Athlete Registration- Distribute bags and packets with race information to athletes
  
Wednesday, April 25th
Athlete Registration Shift 2 (12:15 - 5:15 pm) 36 volunteers needed

Thursday, April 26th
Athlete Registration Shift 1 (8:30 am - 1:30 pm) 16 volunteers needed

Thank you Trinity Episcopal Church!

 
Thank you to the members of Trinity Episcopal Church for collecting and donating over 2,000 pounds of food to Interfaith's Food Pantry as part of their Wall of Compassion Project. Each year, donations are collected during Lent and stacked into a wall of donations in their church, called the Wall of Compassion. Donations are then taken to Interfaith Food Panty to be distributed to clients.

The responsibilities of the sponsor are to provide cake, cupcakes or treats, drinks and paper goods for 50 residents along with 10 to 15 small bingo prizes or 5-6 $5 gift cards.

April Food Pantry Needs

Each month, Interfaith's Food Pantry feeds 1,500 individuals. In addition to serving the families that visit Interfaith every day, the Interfaith Food Pantry also serves home bound seniors. Volunteers help package and delivers groceries to Seniors in the senior complexes once a month. Roughly 185 seniors receive monthly grocery deliveries.

The Woodlands Kiwanis Annual Prayer Breakfast
 
 The 31st Annual Kiwanis Prayer Breakfast will take place on Thursday, May 3rd, at 7:30 am. The speaker this year is Nicole C. Mullen, Christian recording artist. Mullen is known for being a talented artist who is unafraid to be vulnerable and transparent with her audience.
