2022 April E-News
It’s true that Jennifer Rhodes has decided to take a great opportunity, but yet remain in our community and involved in the Chamber! We have been lucky to have her as a part of our team since 2018, as Membership Coordinator. We will miss seeing her in the office everyday, but we know she will still support the Chamber and attend our events now as a member. We wish her the best! Our Chamber Members are encouraged to reach out to Lisa Thomas, Executive Director and Hannah Viens, Operations & Finance Coordinator for any questions regarding membership and benefits. Thank you Jennifer Rhodes for all that you have done for the Chamber and your community!

Spotlight of the Month
Sisters of Charity of Nazareth

The Bardstown-Nelson County Chamber of Commerce would like to recognize Sisters of Charity of Nazareth as Spotlight of the Month.

Since 1812, with lives centered in prayer and a focus of living in community, the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth minister to those living on the margins in the United States and across the globe in Belize, Botswana, Kenya, India, and Nepal.

All that the Sisters are flows from a deep sense of spirituality. “Impelled by the love of Christ” is the motto and this is at the heart of all that the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth do, even when it takes every ounce of courage they have. In their daily lives, they are living the Gospel, creating hope, and empowering others. This spirituality shines through as they work with students in classrooms, empower women in villages, provide basic necessities for life, and advocate for justice.

Each day Sisters are inspiring those around them through their actions and profound dedication to God. The pioneer spirit of the SCNs began in a log house in Kentucky. That spirit continues today in the United States and across the Indian Ocean, to the Himalayan mountains, over the Caribbean Sea, and to the Kalahari Desert, where you will find the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth as they continue to follow the vision of their foundress and the love of God, with creativity and perseverance.
