Boards & Brunch
The BNCC Young Professionals Network held it's first annual Boards & Brunch event held at the Guthrie Opportunity Center. This event brought local Young Professionals face to face with local non-profits so YP's could learn more about their organizations and learn how they can get more involved. Not only did the YP's get to network with then non-profits, but the non-profits got to network with each other which led to them bouncing ideas off each other and learning more ways they can make themselves more successful and beneficial.

We want to give a BIG thanks to our sponsor Guthrie Opportunity Center for proving the space for this event, and for the delicious food ! Also, we want to thank all of the non-profits that were able to make it.

For more information on how you can get more involved in the community or how to become a Young Professional, please give us a call here at the Chamber at 502-348-9545, or send us an email at [email protected].
Small Business Day
The Bardstown-Nelson County Chamber staff and some of its small business members attended Small Business Day at the Capital hosted by the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce. We listened from lawmakers speak to a crowd of almost 100 business leaders voice their top concerns and priorities of the General Assembly.

We want to give a big thanks to Senator Jimmy Higdon for allowing us to eat lunch with you! We appreciated the company and conversation!

Spotlight of the Month
Making Good Scentz

The Bardstown-Nelson County Chamber of Commerce would like to recognize Making Good Scentz as Spotlight of the Month.

Steve Stivers, owner/operator of Making Good Scentz in Bardstown Kentucky has been in business for over eight years. Starting out as a hobby soap maker over 15 years ago, Steve eventually turned his love of soap-making into a locally ran and supported business. He prides himself on making everything in the shop from scratch. He is supported in his business endeavors by his husband, as well as their 4 fur babies: piper, potter, penny, and pepper.

Steve has been a board member for the Bardstown Main Street for many years. He has been involved with Cheers to Bardstown, Bardstown arts and craft festival and in 2022 Steve was named Bardstown man of the year. He tries to stay involved anywhere that will promote Bardstown for the great city that it is.
