Piano faculty member Jorge Ibañez celebrates the spring season with a performance of original compositions for solo piano and for piano/percussion duo. He holds degrees from Longy School of Music and the New England Conservatory, and his music is noted for its lyricism, clarity of form, and flavor of his native Bolivia. For this recital, he is joined by his wife, percussionist Deborah Welsh Ibañez, who performs frequently with several New England symphonies and orchestras. A pre-concert reception will begin at 2:30 PM. Free admission.

CUMMINGS FOUNDATION'S GRANTS HELP NONPROFITS LIKE WCMS
The Cummings Foundation has awarded more than $200 million in grants to Greater Boston nonprofits, providing critical support for human services, education, healthcare, social justice, and the arts. WCMS is part of that story, having received funding to help purchase our building at 407 Highland Avenue and to help sustain our organization. We are mentioned in Bill Cumming's new memoir about his work and his charitable foundation. The book is available locally from Book Ends or directly from the Cummings Foundation, and 100% of the profits will go towards continuing the foundation's legacy.
