SHARSHERET IS HERE FOR YOU VIRTUALLY

TO OUR SHARSHERET COMMUNITY
While the events of the past month have brought extra stress and uncertainty to all our lives, the COVID-19 crisis is especially challenging for women diagnosed, and at risk for breast and ovarian cancer who are having their surgeries, treatments and screenings postponed.
You can count on Sharsheret to keep you informed during the COVID-19 outbreak. Each week we will continue holding weekly webinars and virtual presentations featuring expert medical and mental health professionals focusing on the most recent and critical information regarding COVID-19 and cancer.
Passover will be difficult for everyone this year, but especially for those who need to isolate and spend the holiday alone. Sharsheret's clinical and outreach departments will continue to meet the growing demand for private counseling sessions and connecting women with our peer support network, as well as providing timely and critical educational programming.
Wishing you a peaceful Passover, and stay well. We’ll get through this together.

Julie Benmosche, a 32-year-old nurse specializing in emergency medicine and infectious disease, was diagnosed with breast cancer on March 6th. “It's a tough time for everyone right now, but it makes it a little easier to know we don't have to walk it alone because Sharsheret is here for us.”
Throughout this crisis, Sharsheret remains a constant source of critical emotional support, a virtual lifeline, for women just like Julie. Your pre-Passover gift this year will ensure that women like Julie are not alone. Sharsheret will be there, too, during this holiday season and into the uncertain and frightening months ahead.

"Passover is canceled because of a plague. Technically, Passover will not be canceled this year because of the coronavirus, but for most of us, it won't be observed in the traditional fashion to which each family has become accustomed. We may not be celebrating with extended family, with grandparents, with friends or family with an immune deficiency risk, or with those living with a cancer diagnosis, like many of our Sharsheret callers."
